40.ecw cmampion and lashly

One Night Stand may be the last stand for either Bobby Lashley or ECW World Champion Mr. McMahon. In an interactive interview, both men agreed in Street Fight at One Night Stand.

The Chairman crowed about how much he has demoralized and been one step ahead of Lashley in his quest to regain the ECW World Title."You are entering my world, Bobby Lashley, this Sunday. I'm from the streets," the Chairman said. "This title does not belong to you. It belongs to me."

But Lashley, ever-determined and undaunted, promised our fans that he would win the Street Fight this Sunday and regain the ECW World Title and bring honor back to the Land of the Extreme.

"I am a champion, and I need my title back," Lashley said. "I won't need a weapon to beat you this Sunday. I promise I will regain my title, and the people will be cheering."

39.orton injured rvd and dreamer

Randy Orton injured the night before on Raw, Rob Van Dam.

Orton said he was proud that he had ended Shawn Michaels’ career and was proud that he had given Rob Van Dam a concussion on Raw

The Legend Killer vowed to finish RVD once and for all and have him carried out on a stretcher, just like HBK, after the two waged war in a Stretcher Match at One Night Stand.Fellow ECW Original and longtime RVD friend Tommy Dreamer couldn’t stand it anymore and marched from the locker room and challenged Orton.

“Everyone in that locker room and everyone here looks up to Shawn Michaels,” Dreamer said. “RVD is a close friend of mine, and I'm not going to stand by and let you come out here and run your mouth. You’re right – you’re not welcome here. But you are welcome to have a match with me … tonight!”

Dreamer seemed to fight for not just his friend but all of ECW in his battle with the sadistic, arrogant Orton. But like so many others, he fell victim to Orton’s RKO. With a gleam in his eye, Orton began to target Dreamer’s head and was ready to add him to his list of concussion victims when Van Dam stunned the crowd and ran from the back to protect his friend. But Orton stopped a still-injured RVD with one blow to the head. RVD could only gaze at the Raw Superstar as he awaited their showdown at One Night Stand.

34.Khali challenged Cena to a rematch.

curtesy-www.wwe.com

In front of Raw fans Monday night, The Great Khali challenged John Cena to a Judgment Day rematch.

If seen by referee Mike Chioda, the placement of the boot would have required Cena to break his hold. But Chioda’s attention was focused on the giant’s arm, which slapped the mat to signal Khali’s submission.

“The Great Khali has never submitted in his life,” the interpreter said on Khali’s behalf. “The referee screwed The Great Khali, you fans screwed The Great Khali, and John Cena has screwed The Great Khali.”

The Champ to answer the challenger. The Great Khali’s foot was indeed under the ropes. But, standing face-to-face with the giant that has manhandled him for more than a month, he said Khali’s submittal at Judgment Day was no mistake.

“Not only did I survive, but I got you,” Cena exclaimed. “And I know I can get you again!”He then accepted Khali’s challenge for One Night Stand, for a Falls Count Anywhere Match for the WWE Championship.

“I’m telling you I can beat you anywhere in the building,” Cena told the giant.
Khali answered with brutality, chopping his hands down on the WWE Champion’s skull. LeftCena in the center of the ring, leaving him unconscious.

As the monster stood glaring over him once again, Cena had to be wondering if his Judgment Day success over The Great Khali was just an accident, keeping the WWE Championship around his waist.

33.Fatal Four Way Match to determine the No. 1 contender to the Rated-R Superstar's gold.

After Judgment Day Superstars of Friday Night SmackDown enter Des Moines, Iowa.

Fans still call Edge World Heavyweight Champion. This week on SmackDown, Kane, Mark Henry, Finlay and Batista will face off in a Fatal Four Way Match to determine the No. 1 contender to the Rated-R Superstar's gold.

Who will face Edge for the World Heavyweight Championship.

32.World Tag Team Champions The Hardys def. Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch

curtesy-www.wwe.com

As the referee slapped the sweat-covered mat for the 1-2-3, Cade had to be wondering what happened to his partner Trevor Murdoch, who was laying on the ringside matting, unable to stop the ref’s count.

They followed the tag team textbook to the letter – they divided the ring, tagged in and out frequently, and double-teamed their opponents within the official’s five-count. And yet, Cade was the one prone on the mat, watching The Hardys celebrate yet again.

What chapter of that tag team textbook covers disappointment? There must be pictures of the blue-collar duo as Exhibit A, coming so close again to toppling the Carolina kids.
After the match, with the crowd chanting, “shake their hands,” The Hardys offered good sportsmanship to their rivals as a consolation – the same sportsmanship offered to them numerous times in past weeks. They continued their praise post-match.

“We wanted to go out and have a great match with Cade and Murdoch, two guys who seem to have turned over a new leaf,” Matt Hardy told WWE.com. “To beat them … in the middle of the ring is quite an accomplishment for us. And it means that The Hardys’ seventh tag team title reign keeps rollin’ on.”

One has to wonder how much longer Cade and Murdoch can keep sportsmanship at the forefront as, again, they lose to the champions, seeing the prized tag titles walk out of the ring on their opponents’ waists.

31.Orton won but Michaels suffered

curtesy-www.wwe.com

Shawn Michaels gave it his best effort at Judgment Day Due to the collapse, referee Marty Elias was forced to stop the match and award the victory to Randy Orton.

Michaels wouldn’t even make it to Judgment Day,suffered by the hands of The Great Khali
attack

But just like he always does, Michaels showed up and was ready to answer the bell, ready to give 100 percent against Orton. Instead, but moments before the match was set to begin, the Legend Killer viciously ensured that he couldn’t. Attacking HBK during an interview, the opportunistic Orton sadistically slammed Michaels head first into the staging, further exacerbating HBK’s pre-existing head injuries.

Unfortunately, even the heart of a champion and the spirit of a warrior that HBK possesses wasn’t enough on this night. Orton wisely and opportunistically focused his attack on Michaels’ head, knocking him silly seconds into the bout. Finally, after a few minutes of pounding, referee Marty Elias stopped the match after Shawn tried to attempt Sweet Chin Music but simply fell flat on his back.

With a sadistic smirk, Orton added insult to injury by dropping HBK with a post-match RKO before WWE’s medical team and even HBK’s wife Rebecca rushed to the ring to check on the fallen Showstopper. The Legend Killer simply smirked and left the ring as Michaels was loaded onto a stretcher and wheeled out with a visibly upset Rebecca right by his side.

30.Judgment day world heavy weight title result

curtesy-www.wwe.com

Ever the opportunist, Edge took advantage of Batista’s injured leg, rolling up the wounded Animal to retain his World Heavyweight Championship at Judgment Day.

Edge shocked the world and cashed in the Money in the Bank on SmackDown to win the World Heavyweight Championship. After WrestleMania 23,Batista’s constant chase of the title while Undertaker put him in numerous matches where he came up short

During SmackDown, Edge was interrupted by Batista and assured by the former champion, “that title is mine.” Prior to their match at Judgment Day, the Rated-R Superstar reiterated, “I did in three minutes what Batista could not do in three months, defeat one of the greatest champions of all time – The Phenom.” Edge continued, “News flash, this is my title, not yours Batista. The Rated-R era has begun.”

Like him or not (not that he cares), Edge made a huge statement by defeating Batista, perhaps living up to his word that a new era has indeed started on SmackDown. But for that era to be successful, Edge will have to undoubtedly face the same challenges from The Animal that Undertaker endured. Batista is hell-bent on regaining the gold, and despite his loss to Edge, don’t count him out just yet. Also not to be overlooked are the hosts of other hungry Superstars looking to make a name for themselves on SmackDown.

If anyone knows about making a name in sports-entertainment, it is the eternal opportunist who has twice cashed in Money in the Bank to win championships – the World Heavyweight Champion Edge.

29.Bobby Lashley have won this Handicap Match, but not the ECW World Title

curtesy-www.wwe.com

3-on-1 Handicap Match against Shane O’Mac, Umaga and ECW World Champion Mr. McMahonagainst Lashley. All this started since Lashley shaved the Chairman bald at WrestleMania 23.

But then he was nearly unconscious and looking up at the arena lights after Umaga attacked him from behind and downed him with a Samoan Spike. And in one instance, Mr. McMahon turned Lashley’s ecstasy into agony – just because he could.

“Congratulations, Bobby Lashley. You have indeed won this Handicap Match, but what you have not done is win this ECW World Title,” the Chairman cackled to the stunned crowd and Lashley. “Because to win this ECW World Title, you have to beat me. So, ladies and gentlemen, still your ECW World Champion, Vincent Kennedy McMahon!”

When Mr. McMahon won the ECW World Title last month at Backlash,The Chairman pinned Lashley for the ECW World Title after the proud gladiator endured a blast to the head with the title by Shane and two splashes from the top rope from the near-400 pound Samoan Bulldozer.
Still, Lashley remains determined and told WWE.com after the match that his war with Mr. McMahon and his pursuit of the ECW World Title will continue.

"The war isn't over yet," Lashley said. "I've won this battle, but the ultimate battle will come when I win back the ECW World Title."

28.MVP United States Champion.

curtesy-www.wwe.com

At Judgment Day Sunday night, MVP pinned Chris Benoit twice consecutively to win the United States Championship.

Benoit’s left knee had been badly wounded on SmackDown when finely and MVP attacked the Benoit.MVP tried to achive the title since Wrestlmania23,Backlash and achived at Judgment day
Locker room sources suggested that the highest paid free agent in sports-entertainment might not have the intestinal investment to prevent Benoit from “three-peating” at Judgment Day.
Benoit fought with the heart of a champion, and he’ll never make excuses about his injury. At the end of the night, however, MVP’s “A” game would ultimately produce two successive, clean pinfalls — an unbelievable accomplishment, considering the opponent — an elusive title, and the right to claim that the future of sports-entertainment is now “ballin’.”

Khali used his sheer size and power advantage to dismantle the WWE Champion,So Cena got crafty, and after using the ring steps to take Khali off his feet, he locked the 7-foot monster in the STFU. With nowhere to go, Khali tapped out, and The Champ had overcome the odds once again.

I have no idea how it happened, I really don’t. I just latched on and held on for dear life.”

This record will show that John Cena amazingly defeated The Great Khali.

Just 48 hours away from their 2-out-of-3 Falls Match at Judgment Day, both the United States Champion Chris Benoit and the challenger to his title, MVP, were in action on SmackDown

After the match, SmackDown announcer Michael Cole interviewed MVP, “I will overcome the politics and the nations of playa haters that doubt me. And then I will most certainly be ballin’.” The focused newcomer seems desperate in his pursuit of championship gold.

MVP's Judgment Day opponent, the U.S. Champion Benoit, battled Finlay. As the champion seized control over the match,Finlay turned the tables, injuring the champions knee. Despite the immense pain, Benoit continued to fight, and as he locked Finlay in the Crossface, the opportunistic MVP attacked.

MVP taking full advantage of the injury. As MVP pummeled Benoit, he only helped his cause heading into Sunday’s encounter.

23.Mr. McMahon becomes Dr. McMahon

curtesy-www.wwe.com

Mr. McMahon is one of the longest member of WWE.After delivering a speech to the graduates of Sacred Heart University, the Chairman received an honorary doctor of humane letters degree.

“First of all, my name is not Vince,” Mr. McMahon told WWE.com. “It’s Dr. Vince or Dr. McMahon.”

“If anyone alive should be decreed the doctorate of humane letters, it unquestionably should be me, and I humbly accept that award,” he said.

His wife Linda McMahon, a member of the Sacred Heart Board of Trustees, presented him with a hood just moments before he tossed his cap into the chairs to kick off his speech.

“I have no pearls of wisdom for you today,” the Chairman admitted. “I’m not going to tell you how to run your lives because I have difficulty running mine.”

Christopher Lavoie, another member of Sacred Heart’s 2007 graduating class, agreed.

“I think Mr. McMahon is the perfect speaker,” he said. “I grew up watching WWE on TV and now to see him here in person is like seeing everything from my childhood come up with me.”

John Cena and Shawn Michaels spent half the year 2007 together till they were a tag team. But things went out of hands Cena & HBK pushed each other to the limit physically and mentally.

But cena should respect to Michaels, and that respect was shown itself on Monday night after Raw went off the air.when John Cena joined other WWE Officials at ringside to help Shawn Michaels after Michaels was attack at the hands of his Judgment Day opponent, Randy Orton.

Michael is still recovering from the attack from the hands of The Great Khali.

And Cena himself said Monday night that many are predicting more of an execution than a match when he faces The Great Khali. And so now, these two great rivals, Cena and Michaels, find themselves together again. But this time it’s not as a tag team.
But the attack on HBK is the call of the Judge ment Day by Orton

21.At Judgment Day Carlito aganist Ric Flair

curtesy-www.wwe.com

At Judgment Day, Carlito will take on partner, the legendary "Nature Boy" Ric Flair.

The Caribbean Superstar took Flair's advice to heart, and began teaming with Flair . However, after several losses, Carlito became frustrated and r simply walked away from Flair. Finally, during a tag team match against The World's Greatest Tag Team, the Southpaw from San Juan took a page from Flair's playbook and attacked the "Nature Boy."

Now, at Judgment Day, the 16-time World Champion will have a chance to right the wrongs done to him by his Caribbean protege. Will Carlito get taken to school this Sunday, or will the student one-up the teacher?

14.Mark Henry made a huge come back on wwe

curtesy- www.wwe.com

Mark Henry faced a huge career setback late last July when his right patella tendon ripped completely off the bone. While rehabbing his knee over the past 10 months, he’s had nothing but time to quietly stew alone, rehash old memories and build a meteor-sized rage inside himself.

Where exactly is all of his anger stemming from? One locker room source told WWE.com that it might be from rumors that have been circulating — rumors that imply how Henry has failed to live up to his potential since joining WWE more than a decade ago.

“When he got injured, people began to ask, ‘Is Mark Henry a classic example of an underachiever?’” said the locker room source. “The guy’s a former Olympian and Strongman. He inked a huge deal when he signed here, yet he’s never held a World Championship. What does that say?”

Perhaps it’s that mentality which fueled Henry’s vicious ambush on Undertaker after The Deadman’s bloody, exhausting Steel Cage Match with Batista. The Phenom could barely stand, let along muster the strength to defend himself as Henry battered him with jaw-jarring punches, then capped it off with several rib-crushing splashes. Choosing to pummel a weary and wounded Undertaker after he’d already been repeatedly slammed against the unforgiving links of a steel cage wasn’t just flawless execution of the “Kick a Man When He’s Down” strategy; it could also have been Henry’s way of showing everyone that he’s removed words like “mercy,” “forgiveness” and “sympathy” from his vocabulary.

“Undertaker took something very important from me at WrestleMania 22 — my chance at being a World Champion,” said Henry, referring to their Casket Match back in April 2006. “This beating was a sample of what I can do. My message is clear and my message is effective: If you don’t do what I say, when I say to do it, you will be dealt with, just like Undertaker was.”

Did Henry think he could really erase 11 years of disappointment with one unprovoked beating? What’s “the message” he’s sending — that these attacks won’t be focused, and will be directed to anyone who’s ever crossed him? On that topic, the World’s Strongest Man is also the silent type. He did, however, shed light on how he feels about Edge piggybacking on his dirty work, cashing in his Money in the Bank contract and claiming the World Heavyweight Championship for himself.

“Edge is a talented guy and a true opportunist, but if I had known his intentions I may have had something to say about it,” Henry explained. “But the milk has already been spilled and I got my point across…that my power and vengeance will rain down on the SmackDown roster.”

That said, does the World’s Strongest Man intend to run riot through the SmackDown ranks alone? Throughout most his career, Henry has had people to help guide him. He’s been a member of the Nation of Domination; teamed with D’Lo Brown; got wrapped up in an unusual amorous relationship with Mae Young; and shared allegiances with the likes of Theodore Long, Daivari and Melina. But now all those relationships have expired, and it looks as though his newest companion is one that won’t ever leave — his knee brace. Every time his entrance music sounds and he walks down the ramp, there’s a constant reminder of the pain and sacrifice it took him to get back into the ring. That, paired with the whispers about his “underachievement,” could be a dangerous concoction for his future victims.

Whether or not the time has come for Mark Henry to elevate himself into the next stratosphere of WWE Superstardom remains to be seen. But with his newly refocused urge to prove his dominance, this human wrecking ball of hurt will be extremely difficult to stop.

12.Mr. Kennedy no longer Mr.Money in the Bank

curtesy-www.wwe.com

Mr. Kennedy had been counting down the days until he cashed in his Money in the Bank contract and competed for a World Championship at WrestleMania 24. Unfortunately, with 328 days remaining until the March 30, 2008 pay-per-view in Orlando’s Florida Citrus Bowl, time has suddenly run out for SmackDown’s loudmouth Superstar. In addition to losing his Money in the Bank contract to Edge on Raw Monday night, Kennedy is en route to Birmingham, Ala., to consult with Dr. James Andrews about his injured right arm and impending surgery.

Despite first injuring his arm during a WWE live event last weekend, the cocky Superstar fought through immense pain and continued competing in the ring. He even attended Raw at Penn State University this past Monday to update our fans with his Money in the Bank countdown, only to find himself baited into a match with Edge. Though never one to back down from a fight, the already-injured Kennedy hurt his own cause by accepting the Rated-R Superstar’s challenge, then trying to fight off his brutal pre-match assault. He was ultimately unable to withstand a Spear from Edge and keep his coveted Money in the Bank briefcase. Adding even more injury to insult, his valiant effort resulted in him tearing his right triceps muscle right off the bone.

No stranger to injury, Kennedy sat out much of early 2006 when he separated the tendon from the bone in his lat (back). Sources close to the SmackDown Superstar have said that he is so distraught over this latest setback, plus the loss of his title opportunity, that he may never return to the ring.

WWE.com witnessed first hand the tremendous physical and emotional toll taken on Mr. Kennedy; several hours after his devastating loss on Raw, the visibly upset Superstar could not bring himself to leave the locker room area. For a man who’s never been at a loss for words, it was very unsettling to observe Kennedy quietly sitting in a corner, his head in his hands as he mumbled to himself over an uncertain future.

11.Santino Marella retained his gold against Chris Masters

curtesy-www.wwe.com

It is hard to believe, but it has been less than a month since Santino Marella transitioned from being a fan to being a full-fledged WWE Superstar and Intercontinental Champion in one night. For the first time since Marella stepped out of the crowd in Milan, Italy, to defeat Umaga and make sports-entertainment history, the underdog stepped back into the ring and retained his gold against Chris Masters.

WWE.com caught up with Marella just moments after his big win over the innovator of the Master Lock. “This feels amazing; I couldn’t believe how strong he was,” marveled the Intercontinental Champion. “I realized when I locked up with him that it was going to be a very difficult battle, and I couldn’t let up for one second or I wouldn’t be able to win.”

The future is uncertain for Marella, but the Superstar made one point perfectly clear, “I’m going to give 110 percent every day. If my 110 percent is enough to win, then I will keep winning.”

10.no one can stop edge

curtesy- www.wwe.com

“Nobody will ever be a step ahead of me,” declared Edge, the new World Heavyweight Champion. “I’m always six moves ahead of everyone else in this industry, possibly even seven — hell, more like nine.”

In this particular scenario, the Rated-R Superstar effectively completed two crucial chess-like moves to shake the foundation of sports-entertainment in the space of 24 hours. First, he successfully baited Mr. Kennedy into a match on Raw that cost the vocal Superstar his Money in the Bank World Championship opportunity. The opportunistic Edge then cashed in his newly won contract on SmackDown the following night, covering a barely conscious Undertaker to claim his first-ever World Heavyweight Title.

While savoring his historic victory over The Phenom inside SmackDown’s locker room area, an eerie smile stuck on the new champion’s sweat-drenched face. It was the same smug look that Edge has become notorious for over the years, especially whenever his complex mind games and intricate schemes come to fruition (and they always seem to). Rubbing his chin while admiring his new gold-plated prize, the anything-but-modest Superstar summed up his acute mental prowess with a metaphor: “I’m like Phil Jackson, Bill Belichick, Scotty Bowman and Joe Torre all wrapped into one… Just when you think you have a game plan mapped out, I change everything up.”

Giving the devil his due, the rook was placed 24 hours earlier on Raw, as Edge’s unmatched power of persuasion lured Mr. Kennedy into putting his Money in the Bank briefcase on the line. The following night on SmackDown, he cashed in his newly seized World Championship contract moments after a bloodied Undertaker emerged from a taxing Steel Cage Match against Batista (and was subsequently dissected by a returning Mark Henry). The move was closely related to Edge’s crafty decision to cash in his 2005 Money in the Bank opportunity after WWE Champion John Cena had survived a grueling Elimination Chamber Match against five other competitors.
“I don’t wait for things to come to me. I don’t wait for things to happen,” he explained. “I make things happen. I create the questions, and then I go ahead and give you the answers. There is nobody close to the mental chess that I can play.”

Part of those mental games came in the form of an earlier WWE.com exclusive with the Rated-R Superstar, during which he said his main focus was the WWE Championship.

“So I threw people off by saying the WWE Championship,” he said, “but I’ve conquered that mountain. That was part of my master stroke; it’s all part of the mental chess game. You see, whether it’s my opponents, the fans, or the people within this company, I always keep people guessing.”

According to Edge, there isn’t one person who could have guessed his planned change of scenery all along. In fact, to hear him tell it, it had always been in the cards (or pawns, for that matter), and was even highlighted by a strategic act of frustration that our fans saw during his twilight on Raw.

“That ‘frustration’ was all part of a ploy to give the impression that I was off my game — but I’m never off my game,” he barked. “Some people have ‘off’ games, but I don’t. I’m the smartest man and by far the best in the industry, period.”

One person who would loudly disagree with such comments is the Superstar Edge unseated as “Mr. Money in the Bank” this past Monday. While the new World Champion gave props to Mr. Kennedy as a bona fide up-and-comer, he believed the Green Bay native’s skills are nowhere near those of a master manipulator such as himself.

“Mr. Kennedy is a good kid. He’s where I was a few years ago,” Edge said. “He’s still learning, but he’s not the master yet. He’s not where I’m at now.”

For Edge, returning to SmackDown presents new challenges. Not only will the Rated-R Superstar enter a new brand with a target centered around his waist, but he also will be facing competitors in SmackDown match-ups that our fans could only dream about — until now.
“I took Raw to new heights and did things that have never been done before. I look at SmackDown as an open field of opportunity for me. It’s competition that I can sink my teeth into — Undertaker, Batista, Rey Mysterio, Chris Benoit, Finlay…. Those are guys I want to test myself against.”

Like all of Edge’s tests, they all still pale in comparison to his dominant mental skills — at least, according to him.

“Even the top SmackDown Superstars are guys I will stay one, two, three, four steps ahead of,” he claimed. “Like I said before, I’m the best in the industry, period.”

9.edge the new heavyweight champion

coutesy- www.wwe.com

The Rated-R Superstar cashed in his newly acquired Money in the Bank title opportunity tonight and knocked the sports-entertainment world off its axis by becoming the new World Heavyweight Champion. Following a beastly, relentless attack from a returning Mark Henry, Edge picked the bones of a bloodied Undertaker to win the first World Heavyweight Championship of his career.

With Edge’s nefarious, well-calculated triumph taking place at the close of Undertaker and Batista’s tumultuous caged war, the Steel City became the “Steal City” tonight.

Though the night ended with an R-rated celebration, it was originally a night where the fate of the World Heavyweight Championship was to be decided within the merciless walls of a 15-foot high steel cage. For what seemed like an eternity of brutality, Undertaker and Batista took one another to their physical limits, as both warriors nearly exploded through the fortified steel.

Beaten and barely able to stand, the challenger and the champion ultimately managed to somehow escape the cage at the exact same moment, ending the contest in a draw. Thus, the epic, four-month rivalry between The Phenom and The Animal – two of the most dominant competitors in SmackDown history – culminated with controversy and indecision, much similar to their fierce Last Man Standing Match at Backlash.

Moments after Batista and The Deadman gave every last ounce of themselves in pursuit of the title, the unexpected sound of the World’s Strongest Man’s theme music rung throughout the Mellon Arena. At the end of one of the most savage Steel Cage Match in history, Henry nearly maimed The Phenom and left him a mess in the center of the ring. Only then, with the fallen gladiator ravaged, the Rated-R Superstar would come to claim his championship opportunity.

Just 24 hours after shrewdly coaxing Mr. Kennedy into defending the Money in the Bank opportunity and seizing it on Raw, Edge defected to SmackDown at the most opportune moment. One spear and three counts of the referee’s hand later, it was New Year’s Revolution 2006 all over again. Yet again, Edge cashed in the Money in the Bank guarantee for a title match any time, any place, anywhere – this time for the World Heavyweight Championship. As an opportunistic Edge stood as the newly crowned bearer of SmackDown’s richest prize, the very landscape of sports-entertainment morphed to become Rated-R.

See this chaotic confrontation between The Animal and The Deadman as well as the new champion’s vile, heinous master plan realized by tuning in Friday night, only on The CW Network.

8.edge grabed the money in the bank

The Rated-R Superstar struck gold when he defeated the loudmouth from SmackDown, Mr. Kennedy, for the Money in the Bank briefcase and its guaranteed World Championship opportunity. Edge first goaded Kennedy into putting the briefcase up for grabs, and then attacked Mr. Kennedy before their impromptu match began, wearing down the former Mr. Money in the Bank outside the ring. When the bell began the match, he delivered a thunderous spear for the quick win. Kennedy valiantly competed with a heavily taped arm as a result of an injury sustained at a live event this past weekend, but it was to no avail.

7.the great khali took the wwe championship from cena

cortesy- www.wwe.com

Over the past two weeks, The Great Khali has made it clear that the WWE Championship around John Cena’s waist is in his sights. On Raw, Khali sent an emphatic message to The Champ when he knocked Cena down with the title and walked out of the Bryce Jordan Center at Penn State with Cena’s championship in his hands.

Earlier in the night, WWE Chairman and ECW World Champion Mr. McMahon put Khali in a No. 1 Contender’s Match against Shawn Michaels, and he defeated HBK to gain his opportunity at Cena’s gold at Judgment Day.

Later, Randy Orton took on Cena in non-title action. A focused Orton told Maria earlier in the night, “my career, my title hopes, and my life get back on track tonight.” Orton took the fight to Cena, hoping to live up to his intense words, but the match was interrupted by Khali; it was then that Khali viciously attacked The Champ, took the WWE Championship and walked away.

5.batista says he will win back his title

curtesy-www.wwe.com

Birmingham, Ala. - On a night when General Manager Theodore Long announced that next Friday World Heavyweight Champion Undertaker and Batista would face off in a Steel Cage Match, both The Phenom and The Animal had stern messages for each other. When these two behemoths collide in Pittsburgh on Friday, the Steel City will never be the same – and neither will either competitor.

Following the announcement, a wounded Batista told the World Heavyweight Champion, “at Backlash, we pushed each other to the limit. Then we went past the limit. Nothing is resolved.” He continued, “is the World Heavyweight Championship worth all this destruction? Hell yes.” The Animal then had a promise for Undertaker, saying, “next week, in a 15-foot high cage, I will win back my title.”

The Deadman had a message of his own for his challenger, telling Batista, “I took your soul at Backlash. I took your health.” Undertaker then assured him, “next Friday when you step into the demon’s playground, you will rest in peace.”

Following the dramatic and controversial events of Backlash, the two men who nearly crippled one another in a Last Man Standing Match will meet one more time…inside a 15-foot high steel cage.

As announced this past Friday night, SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long has signed a Steel Cage Match pitting World Heavyweight Champion Undertaker against Batista. Within the steel walls of the cage this coming Friday, Long hopes to determine not just a winner between these two men, but a champion – the man that will carry the banner for the SmackDown brand.

But before that individual’s hand can be raised, they will need to endure not just each other, but also the structure traditionally known for its brutality. WWE.com spoke to several SmackDown Superstars for their assessment of the title match in Pittsburgh and based on their responses, it’s clear that Friday will be a night of physical hell for The Phenom and The Animal.

What do the wwe super stars have to say about undertaker and batista in 15-foot high steel cage back lash re-match :

1.Chavo Guerrero:To me, the outcome really doesn’t matter, except that somebody’s going to get hurt. That’s what’s beautiful about a Steel Cage Match; somebody’s going to come out limping or permanently hurt. And to me, that’s what wrestling is about: you go in there and destroy your opponent. Hopefully, somebody in this cage match will be destroyed.

At Backlash, they were able to go around the arena. The cage will keep them confined in one area and they’re going to have to utilize the tools they have: their feet, their bare hands, and of course, the cage. Whoever’s the best at that, will come out the winner.

2.William Regal:I’ve been in a fight gang for 23 years. I’ve fought in the streets and pretty much every bar across the world. I’ve wrestled the greatest wrestlers in the world. And I’m scared of no one. I would not want to be in that ring with either of those men next week. That’s telling you something. Their Steel Cage Match can only end in tragedy. It’s as simple as that.

3.Chris Benoit:It’s literally going to be like locking two wild animals in a cage. And only one man is going to walk out.

4.Gregory Helms:A cage eliminates the possibility of flight and it eliminates the option to run. I don’t think either of these guys would run away, but knowing that you don’t have that option changes your game plan.

Batista is going to have to live up to his name. They call him The Animal. Well, in that cage, we’re going to see exactly how much of an animal he is. With the power of both of these men, the only thing you can predict is that someone is going to get hurt.

5.Finlay:I hope they both annihilate themselves. I don’t give two hoots about anything. I’d just like to be in there with them and watch them die slowly and bleed to death or whatever it is they do to each other. It would make room for everybody else with those two big freaks out of the way. I hope they really hurt themselves and are never seen again.

Be sure to tune in to SmackDown this Friday on the CW Network to catch this grisly Steel Cage Match for the World Heavyweight Championship.

1.wwe_Raw Khali Claims

courtesy- www.wwe.com

It was a case of whodunit on the first Raw broadcast after the explosive events of Backlash. As Raw aired live from Nashville, one by one the top Superstars on the Raw roster turned up beaten and unresponsive in the backstage areas of the Gaylord Entertainment Center.

Cena stepped into the ring to demand that the anonymous attacker show himself. Fans suspected that anyone able to knock off three of the toughest Superstars in sports-entertainment would be nothing short of a giant of a man. When all 420 pounds of The Great Khali stepped into view, all suspicions were confirmed. The monstrous Punjabi Warrior wasted no time in pummeling the WWE Champion. At one point in their confrontation, Cena was able to lift the behemoth for an FU, but was soon back on the defensive thanks to a stunning blow from one of Khali’s enormous elbows. After taking The Champ out, Khali raised the WWE gold to a staggering height above his head, letting fans around the globe know that he had his sights set on the most coveted prize in all of sports-entertainment.

At the top of the show, Mr. McMahon scheduled a match between WWE Champion John Cena and Shawn Michaels. The WWE Chairman and new ECW World Champion guaranteed a title opportunity for Michaels next week if he conquered Cena later in the night. But the highly anticipated match never occurred, as HBK was found laid out in the locker room area. Soon, both Edge and Randy Orton were found in similar states. Mr. McMahon came up with a solution, and sent word through Executive Assistant Jonathan Coachman for Cena to go to the ring.

Earlier in the night, Mr. McMahon forced ECW Original Rob Van Dam to square off against Umaga. Mr. McMahon, the self-proclaimed "King of the Extreme" acted out of anger at the harsh words Van Dam and the rest of the ECW Originals had for the Chairman after his surprising victory over Bobby Lashley at Backlash . Although RVD put in a tremendous effort against the Samoan Bulldozer, a Samoan Spike helped Umaga ground the high-flyer and pick up the 1-2-3.

In an emotional case of friends turned foes, Edge and Randy Orton battled it out in a grueling match. Ever since the days leading up to the Money in the Bank Ladder Match at WrestleMania 23, Rated-RKO has been falling apart at the seams. Edge and Orton were scheduled to clash last week on Raw, but were forced to wait a week due to the Michaels vs. Cena match lasting nearly an hour!

After a brutal run-in with a turnbuckle left Orton bleeding from the head, a huge Spear from Edge left Orton on his back long enough for the Rated-R Superstar to secure the pin. Not satisfied with a victory over his former tag team partner, a fuming Edge informed Maria that he deserved an opportunity to challenge Cena for the WWE Championship.

In other Raw action, Carlito apologized to Ric Flair for losing his cool on last week’s Raw. Just as Carlito & Flair looked like they were about to claim a win in their match against The World’s Greatest Tag Team, Carlito viciously attacked his mentor and left the ring. No stranger to surprise attacks, the veteran Flair proved that he truly is the “Dirtiest Player in the Game” by giving Carlito a severe pounding as he tried to leave the ringside area.

Jeff Hardy defeated Johnny Nitro with a Swanton Bomb that seemed to come from outside of the stratosphere. Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch (who fell to The Hardys at Backlash) provided commentary for the match and gave Jeff a standing ovation after his win. Cade was heard exclaiming: “After last night, we have all the respect in the world for you!” The Southern tag team wanted to shake Hardy’s hand, but the fan-favorite refused. Were Cade & Murdoch up to no good?

Mickie James got some retribution for her loss against Melina at Backlash by teaming with Candice to defeat Victoria and the A-list Women’s Champion. Intercontinental Champion Santino Marella gave his first televised interview when he sat down with Todd Grisham to tell fans a little bit about himself.
