21.Benoit's death part of a double murder-suicide

The deaths of WWE Superstar Chris Benoit, wife Nancy and son Daniel were the result of a double murder-suicide.

Benoit failed to appear both at Saturday’s live event in Beaumont, Texas, and WWE’s Vengeance: Night of Champions in Houston Sunday night,after informing WWE of a family emergency. Several curious text messages sent by Benoit early Sunday morning prompted concerned friends to alert Richard Hering, VP of Government Relations for WWE, Inc. Hering, in turn, spoke with Fayette County sheriffs Monday, and requested they respond to the Benoit residence to check on him and his family.

Once authorities entered the residence, they quickly located the bodies of Benoit, Nancy and Daniel. Discovery at approximately 4 p.m.

At 10 p.m. Monday night, Lt. Pope held a press conference to which they are findings as a double murder-suicide from within the home.

FOX-owned and operated television station in Atlanta, reported that investigators believe Benoit killed his wife and 7-year-old son over the weekend, then himself on Monday.

The three bodies have been received by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s crime lab, in Decatur, Ga., where autopsies will be performed Tuesday morning. Toxicology reports will not become available for at least two weeks.

Making that money may have made JTG & Shad suspects in the limo explosion. While offering up for sale items previously owned by Mr. McMahon, Cryme Tyme was approached by federal investigator Beck and asked to answer some questions. Could having the Chairman's personal belongings vault Cryme Tyme to the top of the suspect list?

The man behind the wheel has become a suspect simply by his profession, as limo driver Thomas Pagliaro has come forward to explain his innocence and whereabouts during the explosion that has presumably taken the life of Mr. McMahon.

While every other Superstar in WWE and ECW stood silent and somber at the end of Mr. McMahon Appreciation Night just moments before the limo explosion, one Superstar had a smile on his face - Paul London. What did the high-flying Superstar have to smile about? Federal investigator Beck may want to find out.

JOHN CENA

The Champ was in the house when Mr. McMahon's limo exploded, but investigator Beck still has questions for John Cena. The Chairman and the WWE Champion have never quite seen eye-to-eye, and maybe Cena wanted to make sure that the one thing that means more to him than anything stays around his waist and nobody else's.

17.Vengeance Championship Challenge Match

As announced on the June 11 Raw, John Cena will defend the WWE Championship at Vengeance: Night of Champions. His opponent? Well, actually, he has four.

Cena's match will be a WWE Championship Challenge Match, and the parameters of the "Challenge" were made simple by Coachman: any current or former World Champion on the Raw roster was be eligible to challenge Cena for the gold.

Mick Foley threw his hat into the ring moments after the announcement was made, and when King Booker and Bobby Lashley were drafted to Raw, two more former World Champions were added to the already stacked Raw roster. Later that night, it was announced that all three men, as well as Raw stalwart Randy Orton, will be involved in the match.

And so, questions abound. Can John Cena survive the challenge of four men and hold on to his gold? Will Orton reach his destiny and win his first WWE Championship? Will Foley's first match in nearly a year net him some gold? Will one of the two newcomers claim the keys to the Raw city right away? Or will even another former World Champion be added after the supplemental draft on WWE

The answer lies at Vengeance: Night of Champions.

15.Mr. McMahon no brotherly love in death

Even in death, there was no brotherly love for WWE Chairman Mr. McMahon in Philadelphia.

Very few handmade signs in homage to the Chairman peppered the Wachovia Center as some of our fans fell to a hush at the beginning of ECW on Sci Fi. The fans in Philadelphia have been known for their passion and sometimes-harsh treatment of sports figures. And they had no mercy on Mr. McMahon, as many booed, flashed thumbs-down signs and rained catcalls in the Chairman’s memory as 10 metallic tings of the ring bell reverberated throughout the arena and McMahon's face appeared on the TitanTron.

A few “R.I.P Vince” signs were scattered in the audience. Some of our fans cheered and applauded the fallen Chairman, who presumably perished at the end of Raw when his limousine exploded. But mixed reaction aside, Monday’s tragic events shook the core of all of WWE and ECW.

It came from the Chairman’s lips during The Cutting Edge on SmackDown Friday night.

“Do or die!”

Edge was taken aback by Mr. McMahon’s rambling commentary,But the comment wasn’t directed so much at the Rated-R Superstar. It was meant for The Animal, Batista.

The world learned Friday night that Mr. McMahon has scheduled the rematch between Edge and The Animal for Vengeance: Night of Champions, with a “Do or Die” stipulation that could bring this heated to an end.

If Batista cannot beat Edge for the World Heavyweight Championship June 24, he will never be granted another title opportunity for as long as Edge remains champion. It’s a role The Animal has been in before. The two-time World Heavyweight Champion won both his titles under similar circumstances.

In 2005, The Animal fought through 30 men in the Royal Rumble to earn a title opportunity at WrestleMania 21.Then, Batista unraveled a distraction scheme by his friend and Evolution teammate Triple H to make him challenge then-WWE Champion John Bradshaw Layfield instead of HHH for the World Title.

In the end, Batista decided on The Game’s World Title, to be competed for at the biggest sports-entertainment event of the year. With the whole world watching, it was do or die in front of millions of viewers at the annual spectacle of spectacles. The Animal defeated his former friend and mentor to begin his first World Championship reign, which lasted 282 days, ending only when Batista had to relinquish the title due to injury.

At Survivor Series 2006 in Philadelphia, Batista faced World Heavyweight Champion King Booker, who beat Batista at SummerSlam months earlier. The opportunity was seen by many as the final chance Batista had to beat the royal champion, or be moved down the ranks as other SmackDown Superstars were on the rise.

In a match that also had a similar “Do or Die” stipulation, Batista risked disqualification, and used World Championship gold to crown the King in the head out of the sight of distracted referee Nick Patrick, and earned the pinfall. With everything on the line, he rose to the challenge and beat Booker for his second World Championship in the same arena that he had relinquished the title in earlier that year.

Batista has been so close to regaining the World Heavyweight Championship for months. After being beaten by Undertaker at WrestleMania 23, he overcame injury and adversity to fight The Deadman to two draws. After Edge swooped in and used the Money in the Bank briefcase to take The Phenom’s title, The Animal has been on the hunt for Edge’s gold.

It has been maddening for Batista to be so close, yet see the gold walk out with his opponent. After Edge exploited Batista’s leg injury at Judgment Day and narrowly escaped the steel cage before him at One Night Stand, what can The Animal do to ensure his final opportunity at the title won’t escape through his fingers?

Mr. McMahon faced a dedly night when the WWE Chairman’s experiance an explosion just moments after Mr. McMahon stepped into it his car.The Chairman has been presumed dead

Local authorities said it is still too early to declare anything as fact,including what caused the explosion,but described the blast as an apparent “car bombing.” They also revealed that as of 11:30 p.m. EST, no body had been recovered from the incinerated wreckage.

Firefighters were quickly on the incedent, taping off sections of the parking lot to protect the evident crime scene.Mostly our fans are injury.Intense heat and clouds of black smoke, countless people spilled out of the arena to get a closer look at the chaos they had just seen live.Moments earlier, the sold-out crowd came to a still hush as they speechlessly watched from their seats.

“By the time we arrived on the scene, the entire automobile was on fire,” explained a Wilkes-Barre firefighter. “It was like an inferno, and our guys were doing whatever they could to contain it as quickly as possible. In my 27 years with the fire department, I’ve never seen anything like that.”

The flames that reached skyward at estimated heights of more than 50 feet.Early assessments from local firefighters and police officers sent a similar feeling regarding the probability of the Chairman’s survival.

“We’re doing our best to respect the McMahon family and the fans of WWE,” the firefighter said. “However, with that said, we have not found anything – there hasn’t been confirmation that Mr. McMahon’s body was extracted from the limo.”

As the physical body of Mr. McMahon remains to be uncovered, perhaps the most perplexing piece to this puzzle is the Chairman’s uncanny.Over the last few weeks on WWE programming, the swaggering, well-off billionaire seemed to unravel right before the eyes of millions. Speaking of a threatening presence that lurked in his foreseeable future, Mr. McMahon even cited the looming of a “black cloud” last week – a cloud very similar to the post-combustive smoke that billowed above his limousine tonight.

ECW World Champion actually may have proven to be an exercising of a recently discovered sixth sense.

SmackDown Tuesday night, Mr. McMahon appeared as a guest on The Cutting Edge with the World Heavyweight Champion Edge.WWE's Chairman kicks off the show.

Another person flexing their decision making ability is SmackDown's Assistant General Manager Vickie Guerrero. Word is that Vickie will announce two huge main events on SmackDown. Tune in Friday night to find out what Vickie Guerrero has in store for the Superstars of SmackDown.

One Superstar in for a world of trouble is Matt Hardy. After being targeted by Mr. McMahon Monday night, leading to he and his brother Jeff losing the World Tag Team Championship, Matt is being put into action again this Friday when he enters a Handicap Match against the WWE Tag Team Champions - Deuce & Domino.

Mark Henry went into One Night Stand intent on making his presence felt against Kane. The World's Strongest Man demolished the Big Red Machine with an impressive power display, wearing down Kane to seize the win. Who will Henry single out as his next victim as he expands his jungle?

7.Edge wins the one night stand match by 2 feet

One Night Stand’s hellacious Steel Cage Match, Batista crawled head-first through the doorway and touched the outside floor with his hands. For a moment, The Animal believed he had reclaimed the elusive World Heavyweight Championship

However, across the opposite end of the cage, Edge capitalized on Batista’s seeming moment of victory to finish climbing down and plant both feet outside the steel structure—a mandatory stipulation from which the ultimate opportunist capitalized to retain his World Heavyweight Title.

A visibly distraught Batista smoldered around the steel edifice afterward, perhaps as angry at himself as with the referee’s clearly unpopular decision. If the two feet that determined Sunday night’s outcome had been based on a measurement of distance rather than semantics, the Rated-R Superstar’s victory would go unquestioned. That said, despite exiting the cage first, not even Batista’s vaunted power can change the Extreme Rules that ring announcer Tony Chimel stated prior to the match: winning via pinfall, submission, climbing over the cage or exiting through the doorway—and placing both feet on the outside.

Edge had warned on SmackDown Friday night that Batista didn’t intimidate him, though you wouldn’t know it by the way his challenger had pushed him around at the end of their “Cutting Edge” conversation. The Rated-R Superstar had believed he was entering the Steel Cage Match with a wounded Animal—an injured right hamstring that resulted from Batista’s trilogy of violent encounters with Undertaker. But the injured leg showed absolutely no signs of weakness at Saturday Night’s Main Event, prompting a seemingly nervous World Heavyweight Champion to leave his tag partner — United States Champion Montel Vontavious Porter — alone to fend against The Animal’s rage.

That same fury, apparent on Batista’s face as he entered the cage at One Night Stand, motivated the ultimate opportunist to make several immediate attempts to climb the 15-foot-high steel structure. The Animal quickly foiled them all, then focused on a brutal attack that would leave the Rated-R Superstar bloodied at the mouth. The “fear of choking” that Edge claimed would hang over his opponent’s head was nowhere to be found by our fans, nor was the injured hamstring that had previously curtailed Batista’s ring mobility over the past few months. Still, none of that would stop Edge from mounting his own unique offense, even after his spear attempt collided with Batista’s attempted shoulder block, leaving both Superstars down on the canvas for several long moments.

It looked like The Animal would reign supreme as he set up the World Heavyweight Champion for a thunderous Batista Bomb, but Edge’s quick instincts grabbed hold of the cage and almost allowed him to climb over the top. Batista forced him back inside, only to catch a low blow that crotched him onto the ropes. Unable to prevent Edge from climbing over again, the agonized Animal crawled on all fours toward the doorway, using his hands to touch the outside floor and support himself as he exited the cage first. But as the sold-out crowd rose to hail a new champion, the extreme opportunist literally snatched victory away with his own two feet.

After the match, Edge was a very sore winner who didn’t want to be bothered, especially when WWE.com questioned his opening strategy to climb out of the steel cage before even locking up with Batista.

“Why would I try and stay in the cage?” he snapped. “Can you answer me that? Would you try and stay in a cage? No! Thank you very much!”

The Rated-R Superstar also didn’t want to hear that by not exiting the cage first, he almost lost his World Heavyweight Title. “Almost-almost-almost. I don’t care about ‘almost,’ OK? I am the World Heavyweight Champion. Who has the gold right now? I do. I’m holding it, not Batista.

“There’s no ‘almost’ in World Wrestling Entertainment,” Edge concluded. “There’s no ‘almost’ when it comes to the World Heavyweight Championship. One man walks as the champion. One man owns the game of mental chess. And that is me, the Rated-R Superstar!

The World Heavyweight Champion Edge brought his controversial talk show The Cutting Edge to SmackDown for the very first time, By the end of the interview, however, the psychological games backfired, and The Animal sent Edge down to the canvas with a right hook.

The Rated-R Superstar called out his guest, the man who will challenge him for the title at One Night Stand in a 15-foot high steel cage – Batista.Overconfident World Champion looked to verbally tear down his challenger, telling Batista he was not afraid of him.“The last time we were in the ring together was at Judgment Day,” he said, “and if memory serves me, I beat you that night.”

Saying that as edge remaind the animal batista that,“I did in three seconds,” The Animal said that,“what I couldn’t do in three months, steal the title from Undertaker.”the animal continued, “we have all heard it before, Edge. You’re the World Heavyweight Champion, but wait until One Night Stand.”

After the animal speech the R- rated heavyweight champion said,“at One Night Stand a steel cage won’t be the only thing hanging above your head.”Edge accepted the challenge and said,“I know the thought of you choking in another world title match will be hanging over your head.”

As champion and challenger glared each other in the eyes,A good luck wish from Edge to Batista turned into a playful pat on the cheek, and then a shove. As the Rated-R Superstar slapped the challenger, The Animal punched him, leaving Edge on the mat.

The R- rated heavyweight champion is looking for the Steel Cage encounter,When the two men step into the steel cage at One Night Stand, Batista may have the advantage with unmatchable strength. While that may be the case, Edge is the champion, and he has always managed to find a way to win when he has been on top of the world.

The Great Khali has had Cena numbered numerous times over the past few weeks, with the title on the line at Judgment Day, Cena was at his best,proving he is not afraid with his victory over Khali. The victory, however, did not come without controversy. In fact, even Cena has admitted that his win over Khali at Judgment Day is not without doubt,as Khali tapped out as his feet were under the ropes.
