As announced on the June 11 Raw, John Cena will defend the WWE Championship at Vengeance: Night of Champions. His opponent? Well, actually, he has four.
Cena's match will be a WWE Championship Challenge Match, and the parameters of the "Challenge" were made simple by Coachman: any current or former World Champion on the Raw roster was be eligible to challenge Cena for the gold.
Mick Foley threw his hat into the ring moments after the announcement was made, and when King Booker and Bobby Lashley were drafted to Raw, two more former World Champions were added to the already stacked Raw roster. Later that night, it was announced that all three men, as well as Raw stalwart Randy Orton, will be involved in the match.
And so, questions abound. Can John Cena survive the challenge of four men and hold on to his gold? Will Orton reach his destiny and win his first WWE Championship? Will Foley's first match in nearly a year net him some gold? Will one of the two newcomers claim the keys to the Raw city right away? Or will even another former World Champion be added after the supplemental draft on WWE
The answer lies at Vengeance: Night of Champions.
